Warner Bros. is releasing promotional material left and right for Terminator Salvation – I’m not sure if it’s a sign of confidence or desperation, but regardless of the reasoning, the saturation of T4 material within the past few days has been crazy: a four-minute extended trailer, ten minutes of straight footage from the film, and over 70 pictures. Today we’ve been sent yet another gallery of pictures from the McG-directed futuristic action thriller. Of interesting note are a couple of the last photos, whose interior set designs instantly reminded me of the factory setting from the Terminator 2 finale.
Too many homages, of course, can be dangerous for any mythological series, as they can essentially cross the line into self-referential parody (remember Die Another Day? The scene where Bond’s browsing all his gadgets from the last 20 films? Yeah, that was lame). But I’m still looking forward to this one, if only to let my gut instincts spite my logical side.
What do you think about the film? Yay or nay? Leave your comments below, and be sure to join the discussion on our forums!
