I’ve always thought of Julia Roberts as a goody-two-shoes, America’s-sweetheart type of gal. This perception is constantly reinforced by her public image, with includes outspoken decisions such as turning down roles with nudity.
And yet Julia Roberts suddenly seems a whole lot edgier and funnier – and, hell, even more likable and less of a pompous ass – after this footage of her paying tribute to acting pal Tom Hanks emerged:
Hopefully she follows this up with some kind of wacky self-referential profane spoof film, but I doubt it. She’ll probably continue making bombs, but – at least for one brief moment in time – Julia Roberts got her groove back.
